Got The Wrestler today, of course! 16.99 at Best Buy. One of the select few that I'll pay the more than ten bucks for. Haven't re-watched it yet, but I probably will at some point this weekend.

I just got an email from Cinema Blend saying that I won The Wackness Give Away contest. How cool is that!? plus its on Blu-Ray!

That's the first DVD I've gotten since Christmas when I got TDK and Prince Caspian, But i did pre-order The Curious Case of Benjamin Button from Best Buy yesterday.

Other than that I dont think i'll be getting another dvd for a while. I wonder which 2009 film will be first that I think will be buy-worthy, so far I haven't seen one that is.

Perhaps I don't want to know why you owned Crystal Skull before Last Crusade...

Well it wasn't until I saw the new one that I wanted to own all of them. So I bought the first one. Then the last one was previously viewed at Blockbuster 3 for 20, can't pass that up. Now I have the 2nd one, only one more to go.

Oh, gotcha. I was practically raised by the original trilogy and still have yet to buy them, because I'm waiting for them to release all 4 together...unless they already have and I just can't find it.

There is a box set out with all four of them. The current special edition of the first three and the two-disc Crystal Skull DVD are in it.

Here you go, from the God that is Amazon:

I own the trilogy box set, which I got for the bargain price of $18!

Hahaha...Eventually, I want to write an autobiography (whether I become famous or not) and the first line will be, "As a child growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey, I could never have been told that I wasn't Batman, Indiana Jones, Dr. Peter Venkman, or a Ninja turtle."

The Owen Wilson avatar you had seemed to suit you. Maybe he should play you.

Meanwhile if I had an biographical film, it would be an animated feature called "No, Yes, No, Yes, Yes" and seven people would voice me.

Those seven people:

Patton Oswalt
Adam Sandler
Forest Whitaker
Crispin Glover
Alan Rickman
Amy Adams
Frank Welker (that guy can voice anything)

I'd also try to get Martin Starr, Jason Segel, Rachel McAdams, Billy Bob Thornton, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Connelly, Mos Def, Brittany Murphy, Clifton Collins Jr., Peter Cullen (Mr. Optimus Prime) and Jim Carrey (to narrate) in roles.

I have always thought Dupree was based on me.

That's quite a concept you have there...With all of the crazy shit that comes out of your mouth, you remind me a lot of myself, boush, just with a much better film vocab.

Amy Adams, Buscemi?

Is there something you want to tell us? Maybe about how you spend your weekends...?

If Cate Blanchett can play Bob Dylan and if Jimmy Fallon can play Hilary Swank then Amy Adams could play me.

Also, it would be a cartoon and people voice the opposite sex all the time (for example, the voices of Tommy, Chuckie and Phil on Rugrats were all women).

Yeah, but they were kids... who haven't gone through puberty yet... so the voices don't really matter that they were so high pitched.

I actually recently shored up my collection from my 2 wishlists. They are practically empty now.

Anyways, here is what I got

The United Artist Best Picture Collection. I had just wanted to get Marty, but then I decided that hey, for $10 more I get 3 more films! Hopefully I like them as much as Marty. They are West Side Story, The Apartment, and Tom Jones

Peter Pan 2 Disc
Pinocchio 70th Anniversary 2 Disc
Silence of the Lambs Criterion Collection
Dr. Strangelove Special Edition
Jaws Anniversary Collector's Edition
Short Cuts Criterion
Amelie
Troll/Troll 2 - akin to The Room, especially Troll 2
Adaptation Superbit
Animal House 29th Anniversary
Amadeus 2 disc director's cut
Forrest Gump 2 Disc
Jurassic Park Collector's edition
Ocean's Trilogy

and

Pre-ordered Taken

I also went to FYE to check on Let the Right One In's subtitles and they only had two copies but they were both the old version. After being upset with that, I ended up special ordering 8 1/2. I do have it at home from Netflix but I think I am putting too much pressure on myself to love it. This should help relieve that.

You will not be left disappointed by The Apartment, JackO, one of the beat comedies ever. I'd say its probably the best film of the bunch.

Recently, went on a bit of a Francois Ozon hunt and picked up:

5x2
8 Women
Angel

as well as:

The Wind That Shakes The Barley
Cashback
