One of the few remakes of which I'm a fan of both the original and the remake, "Move it on Over":

The Original: Hank Williams Sr.

The Remake: George Thorogood & The Destroyers

God, you gotta love the early days of MTV:

I can't get jumping back/wanna hold, get back/moonlight Muzak/knick knack paddywack/Talk about...

This one's for leestu, from Australia. Can you hear this music as the theme music from some Stephen J. Cannell series in the 80's?

Thanks Shryke. Big Pig were an under rated band with a great concept. A band full of drummers, plus a couple of singers and no guitars!!!!!. Hungry Town was always my fave. What are some examples of Stephen Cannell shows (or should I wikipedia it myself)?
Good to hear both of those songs again. I love nostalgia.

Been in Pigeon Forge, TN the past couple of days and played Guitar Hero: Arcade a few times. This tune especially:

And I just found this great video: more Clapton on the Johnny Cash Show with not only The Man in Black himself, but also Carl Perkins. Damned good guitar pickin'.

He did The A-Team, Hunter, Renegade, Stingray, The Greatest American Hero, and many many others. Big Pig may have also been a good fit for Donald Bellisario, who did Magnum P.I., Airwolf and Quantum Leap.

I Can't Break Away was the opening music from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

That vid with Perkins, Clapton and Cash was phenomenal. They don't make guitar players like that much anymore.

Wow, I put something on here someone actually liked. Hope I don't screw it up with this one. Since I'm in bluegrass territory right now (Pigeon Forge, TN) here's a hilarious rendition of Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law" (with original Priest video) by what I'm told is what started out as an AC/DC bluegrass tribute band called Hayseed Dixie. Great on the guitars/banjos actually. I pulled up 10 different videos and all are funny.

That proves that Rick Astley goes with anything.

HAHAAHA!

I was coming on here to post that exact same video. The mashup is brilliantly done in both video and audio.

Who can remember the 80's without thinking of this one?
