IMO Superbad is one of the funniest movies ever. I have seen it 4 times and it kills me every time.

Away We Go 8 1/2 /10
Glad to see Sam Mendes rebound after Revolutionary Rd. Definitely one of the better pictures I've seen this Summer. I really hope word of mouth gives this movie the kind of buzz that it richly deserves. John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph both gave excellent performances as Burt and Verona, two unmarried, about-to-become parents (This becaomes a running joke throught the entire flick). Burt and Verona are not tied to down to their location by their current jobs so they set out on a cross country journey to discover the perfect place to raise their future daughter. This is done by visitng all of the places that they have friends or relatives who seem to like where they're living. The cast of characters we are introduced to are as strange and varied as the locations they visit. There are exceelent cameos by Jeff Daniels and Catherine O'Hara as Burt's parents, Allson Janney as Verona's former boss and her husband Jim Gaffigan (Who is amazing as Allison's beaten down Type B husband to Allyson's type A personality). Maggie Gyllenhall as Burt's strange llifelong friend and her even stranger husband played by Josh Hamilton Who the wife and I hadn't seen in anything since we saw him in Proof on Broadway.
I'm leaving a few out, but everyone they meet along the way not only has advice for the couple but also seems to think they should move to their location because it's perfect.
If I had to think of anything to compare this to, it would be Garden State only populated by much more real people. Everything just really worked in this movie from the direction to the dialogue to the soundtrack. Many institutions get skewered from ethnic quirks to single parents, to adoptive parents to relationships between parents and both their grown children and their infant children. If you're a fan of quality film making or of Sam Mendes' better work, I can't recommend this highly enough.

Definitely glad to hear all the good things about Away We Go...I didn't hate Rev Rd. but it's by far Mendes' weakest film and I'm very excited for this as he is probably my second or third favorite director at the moment.

Here is one man's review for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen...told entirely in film clips.

Public Enemies - 2.5 / 5 stars or 5/10. I was bored through most of it.

If it's Goodfellas bad, that means it's really, really good.

I was talking to Shryke, Boush. He and I felt the same about Goodfellas, which is why I asked him that. After what he and 6 have said about it makes it sound like it will be Goodfellas bad, meaning boring with horrible characters. So you will probably love it.

I don't know if it was THAT bad, geez. The characters were boring, not annoying. There's a difference.

sure, it was dumb--but how fitting! i'd hate to see a college-level thesis paper wasted on dissecting that turkey
i mean, the movie does have a paltry 20% on RottenTomatoes... and a 6.6 on IMDB (which will inevitably drop even lower in the coming weeks)..
i realize the franchise is your bbs namesake, but the numbers just aren't in your favor on this one..
against Geezer's better judgment, i went ahead and saw it.. and it's one of the few movies i wish i could un-see

To be honest, the more i see the public enemies trailer, the worse it looks. I'm still gonna see it, probably friday, but I'm trying to keep my expectations grounded so I can enjoy it...I want it to be good, but Mann is hit and miss for me.
