I'm guessing you have never seen Jamon, Jamon, Live Flesh, Open Your Eyes or All About My Mother. All of those movies showcase Cruz's acting talent. She just hasn't picked good Hollywood movies generally, which has slanted opinion of her acting credentials.

No, I've never seen any of those. I should check them out, because I love her, personally, but Bandidas? Really? You too, Salma Hayek! And, for what it's worth, Steve Zahn! I mean, come on! Bandidas?

I liked Bandidas but probably because I'm a sucker for Luc Besson films. Plus it didn't deserve the dumping that it got by Fox.

Nothing wrong with a little Luc Besson, but he is after all only human. Which explains why he would make a film where Steve Zahn beds not only one but two incredibly sexy latina women at the same time...okay maybe Bandidas was pretty awesome.

Open Your Eyes is the original (and highly superior) version of Vanilla Sky, while Jamon, Jamon and All About My Mother are two of my personal favourites.

Bandidas was very poor and full of cliches.
