Obituaries

Post by jess_sayin on Fri Jun 05, 2009 2:28 am

I just read something very sad - that David Carradine has passed away. I thought it might be nice if we started a respectful obituary thread for our Hollywood heroes who have passed on. RIP David Carradine. I loved him in "Kung Fu" - the television show.

Damn that sucks. I'll never be able to watch Kill Bill the same way again.

Well, "all cockblockery aside", I will miss him. A lot.

It's kind of strange but the last movie that I saw David Carradine in was Crank: High Voltage. In that film, he plays a sex-crazed old man trying to get a heart that will guarantee him eternal life. Does anyone find that ironic?

It's been reported that Ed McMahon has passed away. Probably remembered him best as Johnny Carson's sidekick. He also hosted "Star Search". Who's played him on SNL? I also thought he was really funny in the "Cash 4 Gold" commercial.

Phil Hartman used to play him on SNL.

He also was famous for delivering the giant Publisher's Clearing House checks to to the winner's houses

Confirmed. That's too bad, he was a worthy foil to Carson's brand of humor for decades. Then he fell on hard times and had to sell most of his property.

Just saw on IMDb, that Lorena Gale, who played Elosha on several episodes of "Battlestar Galactica" and Don Cheadle's wife in "Traitor" has passed away at the age of 51.
