here's a game me and aly have been playin the last few days... the idea is to beat the computer by having the most armies at the end of the game.. you take turns placing pieces.. they're numbered from 1-20.. any piece placed adjacent to a lower-numbered enemy piece will capture it.. any piece placed adjacent to friendly pieces will fortify them (adding 1 army to each)..

the game seems tricky at first, but you get the hang of it after a couple of tries.. currently, my high score is 2350.. Aly is beating me with a score of 2740.. (the score is calculated at the end of the game, taking into account the number of armies each player has, the number of territories, and how much of a lead you won with...... assuming you won)..

if anyone was expecting something EXTRA special for my 500th--well, too bad.. i'm super busy finishing up my undergrad studies.. i just started a new job... AND we're about to move... yikes..

'82 is a fine year. If Conan wasn't enough for you, there was also The Beastmaster.. Rambo I and Rocky III are there for anyone who wants a more modern take on big muscles and men barely capable of monosyllabic conversation. 2670 after a few tries. I have noticed that sometimes the computer gets way better tiles. One game at the end he had seven 20 tiles and I had 3. That was before they were added by reinforcements. The game I got that score he still had 2 more 20s than me.
